Business Rate reviews – LLP case study

Solar farms, considered as commercial property, are subject to a statutory business rates tax levied by central government. In 2019 and 2020, a detailed analysis of the level of rates imposed on each asset-owning SPV was undertaken. As a result, a substantial number of cash rebates were secured for incorrect charges. Future rates were also lowered, providing significant, additional future savings. All new assets undergo this process to identify further rebates and tax reductions.
